About Elizabeth Day:
Currently based on the outskirts of Exmoor, Elizabeth has had a life long love of country life, animals and all equestrian pursuits, she has been painting for many years and is largely a self taught artist.
A long and varied equestrian career spanning two decades has enabled her to have a greater understanding of the intrinsic anatomy of horses.
Her predominant favoured subject matter, horses and hounds, are primarily undertaken in pastels and oils. Her inspiration is drawn from the sprit of the animal be it in their movement or expressions, that is the quintessential, challenging factor to her work.
After exhibiting at many shows over the years, Elizabeth’s work has now become very collectable with many commissions to her name. She also has continued exhibitions at the Courtyard Gallery, Minehead, Somerset and Churchgate Gallery, Porlock, Somerset.
